Complications of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
 
Coronary Artery Complications:
– Coronary Artery Dissection
– Coronary Artery Perforation
– Intramural Hematoma
– Distal embolization
– Side Branch Occlusion (AKA Jailing)
– Infection of Stent

Ischemia-Related Complications:
– MI
– Worsening ischemia requiring emergent CABG

Vascular Complications:
– Access site bleeding (femoral or radial artery)
– Retroperitoneal bleeding
– Atheroembolism

Other:
– Acute Kidney Injury (contrast-related)
– Stroke
– Arrhythmia
– Infection
